Hello. I'm Alexandra Taketa.
My name is Alexandra. A few years ago I was an entrepreneur, a wife, a mother — and quietly carrying an ache I couldn't name.
I was planning to write a very different book — one about professional success and financial empowerment. It matched my background, my expertise, everything I had spent years building. But every time I sat down to work on it I kept hearing the same thing.
It needs to include Scripture.
I didn't understand. I pushed back. But God was persistent. So I took the assignment seriously — committing to read the entire Bible for the first time, joining a women's Bible study, slowly letting go of everything I thought I knew.
It was in that Bible study that I encountered the presence of Jesus in a way that was utterly real and completely transforming. And still — I hesitated. Because saying yes to this book meant laying down so much. Fear. Pride. The question I kept asking — what will people think?
Eventually I stopped resisting.
Coming Home to God: A Journey into God's Transforming Love is that book. Part memoir, part spiritual formation guide.
Written for the woman carrying an ache she can't quite name. Whether she has never found her way home to God — or whether she found him once and has been slowly drifting ever since. The longing is the same. And so is the way home.
I was that woman. And I spent years finding my way back.
And now I'm ready to share it — and invite you into the journey with me.
COME HOME.
I want to invite you to join me in this journey home.
